Steven Pope’s Origin Story
Steven Pope’s career path was diverse and multifaceted before he focused on Amazon. He began as an investigative reporter, covering news stories that impacted communities.
Steven’s passion for problem-solving led him to transition into digital marketing, where he excelled in transforming data into tangible business growth for various industries, from telecom to e-commerce.
Throughout his career, a consistent thread has been his dedication to education and mentorship, evident in his roles as both a chess instructor and a team leader in the marketing space.
6 Years and Still Growing
In 2018, Steven founded My Amazon Guy from the basement of his home. Within the first week, the company secured its initial client and expanded its team. By the end of the quarter, MAG was generating $30,000 in monthly revenue.
He launched a YouTube channel and introduced My Walmart Guy. The following year, My Refund Guy was introduced, followed by the launch of the MAG podcast in 2020.
Rapid growth ensued, with MAG expanding to a 100-person remote team across 10 countries by 2021. The company tripled its workforce in 2022, launching the MAG School and securing a spot on the Inc. 5000 list.
Through acquisitions, summits, and new service offerings in 2023, MAG continued its trajectory of success, creating over 500 jobs and a significant positive impact on the local economy in 2024.
